Multilingual Learners Services
Falmouth's Multilingual Learners (ML) program is specifically designed to facilitate language learning and development to non-native speakers of English. Increased academic rigor combined with difficult academic language demands may create many challenges for language learners. English language instruction, conducted by a certified ML teacher, is facilitated through a push-in model in a mainstream classroom or in an ML classroom located in the school. The focus of ML service is to assist students in achieving academic and social language proficiency. Explicit language instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing will allow ML students to be successful and fully participate in all aspects of school life.
