Congratulations to FHS student Ryan on his win at the Maine State Science Fair!

Ryan took the top prize, out of more than 200 other entries, for his project titled "A Data-Driven Exploration of Albumin-Creatinine Ratio as a Biomarker for Myocardial Infarction Risk: A Multivariate Analysis". He will represent the state at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in May.

Additionally, these students' projects placed in their category:

-Christopher J. - 3rd in Engineering - Sustainable Solutions for the project "Handheld GPS Device for Tracking Location Based Activities".

-Anne M. and Sophia W. - 3rd in Microbiology for the project "How do E. coli and Salmonella levels compare between organic and non-organic chicken?".

-Dante I. and Jared W. - 3rd in Physics, Energy, & Astronomy for the project "Are Guardian Caps Beneficial in preventing head injuries?".

-Wyatt B., James M., and Sam L. - 2nd in Physics, Energy, & Astronomy for the project "Electrohydrodynamic Propulsion Device".

-Hanna A. - 2nd in Behavioral & Social Sciences for the project "Mixed Signals: How High School Scenarios Shape the Perception of Complex Emotions".

-Sara T. and Connor L. - 3rd in Engineering - Assistive & Smart Technology for the project "Track Pacing Robot".

-Emmy X. - 2nd in Engineering - Sustainable Solutions for the project "Developing and Applying the Optimal Airplane Shape for Fuel Efficiency".
