Music
Elementary School
All students in Kindergarten through 5th grade attend music class each week. Students explore their singing voices, playing instruments, moving to music, reading simple notation, and making musical connections. Chorus (Grades 4 & 5) and Small Group Chorus (Grade 5) practice before school throughout the year to prepare for a winter and spring concert.
Band is offered to 5th graders who meet during the school day during the Unified Arts block. They also have two rehearsals before school per week to prepare for three concerts. Visit the Music Department Google site
Middle School
All students Grades 6-8 participate in general music, band, and/or chorus throughout the school year. Band opportunities include Concert Band, Jazz Band, and the Iron Twinkies Jazz Band. Chorus and an a cappella group are offered at FMS. Band and chorus groups practice during and before school to prepare for three school concerts a year as well as regional and state competitions.

High School
Music offerings at the high school include a variety of year-long and semester courses, building on previous ensemble experiences, as well as a diversity of courses that do not require prerequisites. Instrumental Offerings: Concert Band, Jazz Band*, Small Jazz Ensembles*; Vocal Offerings: a capella ensemble*, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers*, Finding My Singing Voice, Jazz Singers*, Musical Theater; Other Music Offerings: Audio Engineering, Guitar, Music Theory, Songwriting, and Steel Drums.
Students perform in school concerts and often compete in regional and state competitions. FHS students may apply for Tri-M, a National Honor Society for music, and are eligible for a Performing-Fine Arts Diploma Endorsement. *Meet outside the school day for credit

Elementary School

Middle School
FMS Theater produces musical and non-musical theater productions throughout the year.
FMS Musical Theater puts on a 60 minute Jr. Title Show once a year. In years ending in odd numbers, a large scale Disney show featuring students from grades 6-8 is produced. In years ending in even numbers, the show is a smaller 8th grade feature.
Visual Arts
Elementary School
Kindergarten through 5th grade students participate in art class every week to foster creative expression and experiment with various art media. In addition to technical skills and concepts, teachers help students build confidence in their artistic abilities and find the beauty in each artwork that they create.

Middle School
At Falmouth Middle School students have Visual Art classes as part of their Unified Arts schedule. They will be introduced to new materials and vocabulary. We have a project based curriculum that will encourage exploration, control, creativity, and discovery. Projects include the use of clay, printmaking, drawing techniques, painting, and mixed media.

High School
A wide range of visual arts courses are offered, such as graphic design, photography, ceramics, and painting. Artwork is displayed throughout the school and during semiannual art shows. All students enroll in two art classes for a total of 1 art credit. Interested students can pursue a Visual Fine Arts Diploma Endorsement.
