Managing Contacts

Description
Adding a contact manually Manually creating an entry for a contact, generally someone outside the FHS community, since those members would already be found in shared contacts.
Adding a sender's address to contacts Easily adding the address of someone who has sent you a message to your contacts.
Creating a Distribution List Creating a group of people who could all be mailed simultaneously. Useful if you would send out emails to the group more than once.

Managing Messages

Description
Creating New folders and subfolders Creating new folders provides you with additional places to store similar email messages.
Moving emails between folders Moving messages from one folder to another, typically out of you inbox to another folder you have created.
Printing email messages The correct way to print email messages. Choose "Print" from the "File" menu results in the message being cut off if it goes off the screen.
Deleting all messages in a folder A way to empty your "Deleted items" (aka the trash) or any other folder.
Creating email filters Using filters allows you to automatically sort messages by various criteria when they are received.

Composing Messages

Description
Entering/Checking email addresses Allows you to enter in a partial address (i.e. a first name or last name) and th system will check for the full address for you. If multiple matches are found, you are prompted to select the intended one from a list.
Selecting email addresses from contacts Allows you to select addresses from your contacts folders.
Adding attachments to messages Sending a file to another person.
Saving email drafts Saving a draft email for subsequent editing and submission. Useful if you are interrupted while composing a message.
Formatting email messages Modifying the look of an email message using bold, italics, fonts, lists, etc.
