- Coaching and mentoring - Teachers plan technology based units with the support of technology staff.
- Learning with students - Offer teachers recertification credit for accompanying attending computer classes with their students.
- Use district workshops as a means to build awareness around what is possible, followed up by coaching and mentoring.
- Provide drop-in workshops during the school day as well as after school workshops based on surveys.
- Web site provides direct links to high quality instructional technology resources.
- Provide building based support (see technology staffing).
- Provide information on out of district opportunities, including web based professional learning opportunities (both courses and free tutorials).
- Provide opportunities such as Celebration of Teaching (June 05 board report) or peer observation time for teachers to share exemplary work.
- Provide essential technology information and support to new teachers during the summer new teacher induction day.
- Assist teacher mentors in providing other technology professional learning support to new teachers.
- Collaborate with technology staff in nearby districts to expand our capabilities for providing technology professional learning opportunities (i.e. CBEA).
- Maximize use of expertise in district to expand professional learning opportunities - teachers teaching teachers, Community Resources database, utilize all technology staff in providing professional learning opportunities.
- Make use of software and web based subscription online training. Where necessary purchase support with software or subscription (eg., PowerSchool support, NWEA assessment support).
- Contract with All-Tech for assistive technology and universal design and technology consulting and professional development.
