Workshop Meeting
Monday, April 4, 2005

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. in the Falmouth High School ATM Room. Present were Chairman Beppie Cerf, Steve Brinn, Linda Cote, Susan Nevins, , Mark Terison, Student Representatives Chris Murry and David Sinnett, and Superintendent George Entwistle and approximately 10 others (Holden and Reed out).

2. Physical Science Curriculum Presentation: The Falmouth Physical Science work group has been working on physical science learning goals and benchmarks for several months. The group consisted of Amy Farmer, Kevin Grover, Sharon DeFoliart, Margaret Merrill, Carey Hotaling, Anne MacDonald, Lew Plummer, Chris Moore, Andrew Njaa, Gary Glick, and Barbara Powers. Mr. Njaa and Mr. Moore presented the group’s proposal for the physical science curricular sequence beginning in SY06 as part of the work in progress curriculum discussion.

3. Falmouth’s Professional Development: Mrs. Powers provided an overview of the various professional development initiatives and plans.

4. Policy Update: Mrs. Nevins, Mrs. Hutton, and Drummond Woodsum Consultant, Ann Chapman, have been reviewing the Policy Manual. Mrs. Nevins presented several policies the Committee felt could be deleted from the Policy Manual.

5. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 9:01 p.m.
