Falmouth School Board 1. The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. in the Falmouth Town Hall Conference Room on the second floor. Present were Chair Beppie Cerf, Steve Brinn, Linda Cote, Truth Holden, Susan Nevins, Kathy Hillman-Reed, Mark Terison, Superintendent George Entwistle, and Board counsel Eric Herlan. 2. Executive Session: Mr. Terison with a second from Mrs. Hillman-Reed moved the Board go into Executive Session to seek advice of counsel in a student disciplinary matter (as per 1 M.R.S.A. § 405 (6) (E)). The motion passed 7-0 and the Board went into Executive Session at 4:35 p.m. The Board came out of Executive Session at 4:47 p.m. 3. Executive Session: Mrs. Hillman-Reed with a second from Mrs. Cote moved the Board go into Executive Session to discuss the possible expulsion of a student (as per 1 M.R.S.A. § 405 (6) (B)). The motion passed 7-0 and the Board went into Executive Session at 4:49 p.m. The Board came out of Executive Session at 6:35 p.m. 4. Expulsion: Mr. Terison with a second from Mrs. Nevins moved the Board expel a student from school pursuant to 20-A M.R.S.A. Section 1001 (9) on the grounds that such expulsion is necessary for the peace and usefulness of the schools, and direct the Chair and the Superintendent to provide the student’s parent written notice of this action, the Committee’s findings and the conditions the administration will consider before recommending readmission of the student to school. The motion passed 7-0. 5. Adjournment: On a motion made by Mrs. Holden, seconded by Mrs. Hillman-Reed, and approved 7-0, the Board adjourned at 6:36 p.m. Respectfully submitted, George H.
