Ad Hoc Advisory Building Committee Minutes
Wednesday, January 24, 2007

1.         Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Mark Terison at 7:00 p.m.  Committee members in attendance were Penny Wheeler Abbott, Karen Boffa, Toni Butterfield, Gerry Davis, Karen Farber, John Flaherty, Beth Franklin, Andy Hyland, Dan O’Shea, Theresa Pierce, Judy Schneider, Bonnie Taylor, Mark Terison and Joe Wrobleski.  Also in attendance was School Board Chair Beppie Cerf.

2.         Approve Meeting Minutes of December 14, 2006
Due to time constraints, it was decided that the minutes would be approved at the next committee meeting on February 15, 2007.  

3.         Architect Selection
The committee watched a slide presentation of pictures taken at all three schools that were recently toured by committee members.  A special thank you was extended to Judy Schneider for taking the pictures.  After the slides were viewed, it was decided to list each architect, one at a time, and have each committee member highlight their thoughts, listing pros and cons.  Once that process was complete, each committee member rated the architects:  1, 2, or 3.    Based on the feedback and the voting, Oak Point was selected by consensus as the committee’s choice.  Mark Terison asked the committee members not reveal the selection since the full School Board needed to approve the recommendation.  Mr. Terison was going to request that a special meeting of the School Board be held.  (A meeting did take place on January 29, 2007 where the recommendation of Oak Point was approved.) 

4.         Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
