Flash Cards

Flash cards traditionally have been used for math facts and simple factual recall. However, they can be used for effectively studying a variety of different topics.

Math : facts / formulas / definitions / equations

Social studies : capital cities / leaders / regional information / system of checks and balances / parts of the constitution

English : vocabulary / parts of speech / literature terms / prefixes and suffixes / elements of short story

Science : conversions / formulas / vocabulary / headings of the periodic table

In order to help remember key points try to use a variety of colors to help you make associations and aid your memory. For example write all your nouns in blue, verbs in red and adjectives in green. Or highlight each branch of the government in a different color.
