| With
the School Climate and Wellness Team's recommendation, Lunt School
has chosen CHARACTER
COUNTS! Six Pillars of Character for Lunt's new, school-wide
character education initiative. Our hope is that the Six Pillars
of Character language, traits and values will eventually become
a natural part of the school's culture, and will be interwoven throughout
every classroom, every special, every aspect of the child's learning
experience at Lunt.
Our school-wide
kick-off for the Six Pillars of Character took place during class
meetings on November 14th and 16th during class
meetings.
Lunt School
staff and parents will encourage and foster all six of these traits
throughout the school year. However, as a school, we'll focus special
attention on one trait per month, starting with December.

Here are five of the Six Pillars, as of April 2007
