The School Health Program facilitates the healthy growth and development of school age children. Health screenings of vision, hearing,height-weight, and scoliosis are provided at intervals recommended by the State of Maine.

Vision, both near and distant, is screened at grades K,1,3,5,7 and 9. Rescreening can be done at any time at teacher or parent request.

Hearing screening is done at K,1, 3 and 5.

Scoliosis screening is done on 6th grade females,8th grade females and males.

Parents will be contacted via referral with unusual findings.
